1.1 Shared Responsibility Model

• Describe Shared Responsibility Model.

  Shared Responsibility Model can be described as responsibilities shared by cloud providers and customers.

  • Customer’s always responsible for:
    • The information and Data in cloud.
    • Devices that are allowed to connect to the cloud.
    • The accounts and identities of people, services, devices within the organization.
  • Cloud Provider’s always responsible for:
    • The physical datacenter.
    • The physical network.
    • The physical hosts.
  • Service model determines following responsibility:
    • Operating Systems.
    • Network Controls.
    • Applications.
    • Identity and Infrastructure.

  There is also a gray zone depending on the situation where it’s both cloud provider’s and customer’s responsibility.
